What a success this Quinceañera was! Sure it had its ups and downs but frankly those are the moment I truly love. Just in case you are not familiar with what a Quinceañera is all about allow me to put it simply this way…

"Is a coming of age ceremony held in some Latin American cultures on a girls fifteenth birthday, comparable to a Sweet Sixteen celebration. The Qinceañera are comparable in scope and grandeur to weddings, and the party atmosphere that follows the somewhat more subdued religious atmosphere. There is a significant dress, flowers and decorations are selected to match the color scheme of the festivities, a reception is held at which guests will be served a grand meal and there will be much dancing and merriment for all in attendance. Often, a live band or DJ are hired for the evening and the atmosphere is energetic and fun. A traditional shoe ceremony is also included."

…to be frank I truly feel honored in being chosen to accompany Sheiline on this arduous journey of Life but in the end everyone here at Samofoto couldn't have it any other way.

I am so exited to fly out to California and shoot my first quinceañera of 2010! As exiting as it may be, I love the fact that I'll be flying out to Burbank to shoot in Glendale. I'll be posting photos as soon as they come in! Check back soon!

Congratulations to Paul & Sarah Piper! The lovely couple are the winners of our May Wedding Give Away! Sarah has an amazing story and truly deserves this free wedding photography.

Last year Sarah was told that she had a life threatening infection in her body that was spreading to her brain. Sarah almost died, she explained. She has had multiple surgeries and has incrued a large amount of medical bills. We randomly chose Sarah as our May Winner for our wedding photography give away and who better to receive it than Sarah & Paul! Sarah said that is a blessing because they were going to forego their wedding photography due to the amount of medical bills.

We are so happy that we were able to provide wedding photography to her free of charge. We had so much fun photographing the wedding, they really know how to party. I am happy to report that Sarah is healthy and enjoying married life!

Congratulations Paul & Sarah! and Thank you for letting us be apart of your special day! 

What a great time it was to meet all the beautiful brides this past Sunday. Even though I knew many of you vie email it was great to finally meet all you, wonderful brides, face to face. We can't wait to shoot your upcoming weddings!

We could've not said it better ourselves. We are happy to announce that everyone here at samofoto is now ready to take on new and existing challenges this year. We have been tied down to a 3 year long contract with various wedding chapels here in town and we are ready to spread our wings.
